Born in Ireland to an Irish mother and American father, I was captivated early on by my grandmother’s vivid storytelling. Inspired by her tales, I began writing from a young age—primarily for myself, never imagining I’d share them with others one day.

Life took me down many paths. I served in the Army, became a father, and lived abroad in West Germany, where I witnessed Berlin before the Wall came down and reconnected with my Irish roots. After my military service, I earned two degrees in Radiology and spent years in clinical and corporate healthcare roles, traveling across the U.S., Europe, and Australia.

I currently work for a local children’s hospital. Now that I have a more settled life, I’ve resumed writing again, drawing on the adventures and characters I encountered throughout my journey.

Thank you for considering my work. I’m excited to share my voice and experiences with a broader audience.

He lives in VA Beach with his wife Elosia Odango Dunn.

Praise

(The Ring of Solomon)

Loved book 1 so I couldn't wait to read book 2 . Book 2 did not disappoint.
I read book 1 in a day and did the same with book 2. They were both so good I couldn't put them down. In Ring of Solomon, the author has provided more information on book 1's storyline while developing new characters and storyline for book 2. I actually think I liked book 2 more. The author does a fabulous job of intertwining two worlds. It makes you wonder if such things are not just fantasy. Excited to hear that a book 3 is being written. Will definitely be reading that one as well.

I liked the characters Gerard created. The plot twists were good. The flow of the story was well paced. Another good local writer.

Gerard Dunn does it again! The ring of Solomon is even better than the first book! So well written and great from start to finish!
